Antebellum Fan Art

Today I was sent fan art of the Poetess by my friend (and *gasp!* future LTWF Contributor) katzhang, who is also my new critique partner.

Pic under the cut!

Last final today…studying is nonexistent and impossible. So…I drew the Poetess instead! I don’t think you ever mentioned how she wore her hair, but I always imagined it in a loose, falling-down sort of bun. Also, if she weren’t green/blue, her hair would be dark brown. Anyway, hope you find it amusing :P

I found this to be very amusing. So much so that I printed it, and put it in a picture frame that’s not being used since Chris and I broke up. I think it’s important to have positive images/objects around, and there’s something about this picture I absolutely adore.

You know that feeling you get when you’re getting a back rub, or having your hair styled, and you just get all relaxed and happy? That’s how I feel when I look at this picture. Even though it doesn’t look like the Poetess I have in my head, I can still recognize my character. And it’s so different to see them in real life, not your mind’s eye.

Thank you so much, Kat! I absolutely love it!

Aw, you really framed it? If you’d like (and if I’m not too messy when I pack tomorrow), I’ll save the original and give it to you when we meet! I’m so glad you liked it.

And yes, this critique partner will get more of the critiquing part of the name done now that finals are over! Whoo!

    That’s sweet! :D

Reminds of what someone said recently, that no written character is the same in everyone’s mind. They are all unique, yet they are all *the* character.
